Racing

Over the years, ERC has successfully fielded teams in all three divisions - Men's, Women's and Co-ed. Since the club’s formation in the 1980's, ERC’s women’s team has been overall champions over a dozen times. The men have followed in close-second, always a force to be reckoned with. Just a few years ago, we formed our first co-ed team, which started off as a ragtag group of Bastards, but just won their first overall championship in the Fall of 2006.

During the race season, practices are more intense than the relaxed rec rows. We practice three times a week; our idea of fun is winning the race first, and then winning the party. We like to hold up the age-old tradition of whupping the competition, and then buying them a beer.

Races are split into two seasons:

SPRING:

4/18/09 - SOMIRA Vallejo
4/25/09 - Coast Guard Challenge
5/9/09 - Red Eagle Regatta
5/16/09 - Oakland Cup
5/30/09 - Alcatraz
6/6/09 - Bridge to Bridge

FALL:

10/3/09 - Port Promenade
10/10/09 - ERC Sprints
10/24/09 - Sprint the Pier
10/31/09 - Head of the Estuary
